This Headline Says it All?
Headlines are amazing, I love to read them and sometimes I even click on the story below!
It is easy to get caught up just reading the headlines because they appear to have all the information that you need. For example the photo above, I don't think I need to read the whole article because I now know not to take poison. The danger lies in not fully understanding why there is an article in the first place. In order to get that answer you need to actually read the article.
Many people fall into the trap of reading a catchy headline and sharing it before they even check out the article. This can be very bad because chances are, the article may not even be true. It could just be click bait to get more clicks on their website or even spam.
Here is a great example of how people do not read the actual story before commenting on it: I wrote a news headline that didn't even link to a story.
